ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Dale Heil was born on a wintry day in Pittsburgh in 1956. His mother was perpetually late for important appointments, and in keeping with her tardy nature, never spent more than 20 minutes in a hospital before birthing any of her four babies.
He received an under graduate degree in psychology from Slippery Rock University then attended the National University of Health Sciences (NUHS) in Lombard, IL where he received a BS in Human Biology and Doctorate in Chiropractic. While attending NUHS he met his wife, Maria, who lived in nearby Wheaton, IL.
Heil has supported his wife’s activism on behalf of the Second Amendment since the year 2000. Currently, she is a Member of the Board of Directors of the National Rifle Association.
It is through his close involvement with Second Amendment issues that he has gained great insight into the world of ordinary Americans who willingly accept the responsibility of providing protection for themselves, their family, and their communities. It is from his association with typical yet remarkable Americans that the True Justice series of books was born.

I am D.E. Heil, the author of the True Justice series of novels . These novels were written with two goals in mind: to write action-packed stories that are both entertaining and educational.
Readers of Higher Justice, the first novel in the series, tell me that they become engrossed in the story within the first two pages, thus fulfilling the goal to write an entertaining story. The educational part of the stories can be found in the serious topic of accepting the responsibility of protecting yourself and your loved ones from the predators that stalk our society.
I was raised in a household run by women because my father died when I was just 11 years old. At an early age, I understood the importance of women having the ability to protect themselves and those they love.
Regrettably, our society teaches women from a very early age that self-protection should be relegated to men or governmental authorities such as police. But that does not help a woman when she is alone and must flee a threat to avoid grave bodily injury or death. That also includes the abduction, death, or injury of her children.
The True Justice Series offers insights into the life of one woman and her mental journey from being a helpless victim to becoming a capable, empowered woman living an independent life free from fear.
